Royal Challengers Bengaluru Innings – 200/4 (20 Overs)

It was never going to be easy chasing 256 runs. Now needing a solid start were Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and boy did they get one thanks to Venkatesh Iyer.

Iyer scored 44 off 19 deliveries in an aggressive fashion. But in the powerplay itself, RCB lost Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal, which dented the chase.

Captain Rajat Patidar then batted soberly. He made 56 and attempted to keep Bengaluru in the game. There was support too, as Krunal Pandya added 41 not out.

Some really good batting performances, but the target was just way too big. The run price that was required to why RCB fell, and eventually their innings concluded on the score of 200/4 after twenty overs.

Turning Point of the Match

The partnership between Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen was perhaps the defining phase of the match. The duo added 113 runs before decimating the RCB bowling line-up.

At one point, Hyderabad appeared to be heading for a score of about 200 only for aggressive batting from Kishan and Klaasen to propel the 250. This made chasing such a big target very difficult for Bengaluru.

This partnership was, I am pretty sure, the entire match definer.
